As men and women age, facial skin elasticity begins to break down, showing signs of aging, such as wrinkles and fine lines. In order to regain a more youthful appearance, patients have often sought the assistance of Buffalo facelift professional Todd B. Koch, M.D., F.A.C.S. At Amherst Cosmetic Surgery Center, our face lift surgeon’s value of personal care helps provide patients with satisfactory results.
A highly qualified cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Koch holds board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). Buffalo, Erie County, and Rochester facelift patients can be rest assured that they are in experienced and capable hands when undergoing facelift surgery (“rhytidectomy”).
Typically, during a full facelift, Dr. Koch will begin the procedure by administering a general anesthetic. He will then make an incision along the hairline and natural creases of the ears. By separating the facial skin from the muscle tissue, our plastic surgeon will be able to lift and reposition the muscle to a more youthful position.
Post-surgical instructions will be provided during an initial consultation with our facelift surgeon, Dr. Koch. Also during your appointment, you will be given the opportunity to ask any questions you may have in regards to the procedure. Depending on your particular needs, a mid facelift (“mini face lift”), the short scar, Deep Plane, or the SMAS method may be a better option.
We encourage you to view face lift before and after photos, which allows you to see Dr. Koch’s patient results.
Many face lift surgery patients often opt to combine other facial procedures in order to attain a more rejuvenated appearance. Some of these may include:
